WELCOME!!!
The new school year is upon us! And what an exciting time for our newest DDES students ~ our Kindergarten artists! This month, students will be introduced to Art Room procedures and expectations. They will also get their ARTful journey started with lessons that exercise their imaginations, as well as build their observation and communication skills!
Packing for an Art Adventure
Students put their imaginations to work on our first days of class. We discuss how learning about and creating art is like going on an adventure. Each student must "pack" a suitcase for the adventure. We share our ideas, learn how to turn them into drawings, and fill our suitcases! In the process, I'm developing the students' comfort levels in the Art Room, teaching Art room procedures and expectations, and assessing their current skill sets!
